Football Blogging Awards: Vote now for the MCFC entrants
Football Blogging Awards 2015: Less than 3 days to go to vote for the Man City Finalists
Voting closes at 6pm on Friday 31st and the three Man City Finalist need all Blues to vote for them. The Football Blogging Awards are the leading awards for Football related websites having been established in 2012.
Here’s an introduction to each entrant and how to vote for them.
Finalist: In Esteemed Kompany
Category: Best New Football Blog
If you follow @thegingerwig on Twitter you’ll know that I like this blog about the Manchester City Youth set up.
InEsteemedKompany.blogspot.co.uk is a thoroughly fascinating writings of Stephen McInerney, who started going to the youth team games to get his City fix as he couldn’t afford the 1st team games. On the blog he writes very detailed mach reports on the games he goes to (he recently dragged his girlfriend up to Middlesbrough to watch the U16’s and U18’s – who says romance is dead?).
Stephen also writes about youth players out on loan and did a comprehensive player by player report on this years youth team players. Stephen’s site is my go to page for catching up on the youth set up and don’t just take my word for it – City Youtube Fans channel BlueMoonRisingTV also agree, featuring Stephen earlier this season as the Youth Set Up expert.
Best Young Football Blogger
Unfortunately we have two Man City finalists in this category so you can either vote for both or choose your favourite! To qualify for the Best Young Football Blogger award the blog or website must be ran by an individual 21 years old or below or be an individual blogging or writing for another blog or website and be 21 years old or younger.
Finalist: Read Man City
Category: Best Young Football Blogger
ReadManCity.com is a Manchester City site run by Josh Lawless and he does a great job writing about City and getting some of the best young Man City writers to contribute to the site (and ahem some older fans!).
The site was formerly called the Maine Blues but has now joined the ReadSport family of sites. Josh is putting together a very good site and the move seems to have been a good one.
I did an interview with Josh recently about supporting Man City which you can read here.
Finalist: The Silva Lining
Category: Best Young Football Blogger
@TheSilvaLining is the twitter account of J-L McDonald a young City fan who writes for a number of websites about football and the Blues. He also set up and hosts the podcast @44talk.
As an example of J-L’s work you can read this excellent piece on David Silva’s impact in the 2013/14 season for FourFourTweet.co.uk
For more info about J-L, you can read an interview I did with him about supporting Man City here.

Did you see the plane over Old Trafford during the Derby? PrivateWhiteVC MCR Made Clothing said the banner. But who is Private White VC and what do they make? I’ve done some digging and there is a fascinating history behind the company. Here I reveal all about the last coat manufacturer in Manchester.

The GingerWig takes you through the 6 Best Man City Coats in the official Manchester City store. From the iconic Parka to a Away day casual jacket. I took a trip to the Manchester City store at the Etihad to try on the new coats in the Autumn/Winter range. Here are my 6 favourites from the visit.
Here are 17 Man City bags in the tote style. These bags are unique styles from artists on the Redbubble.com site. You won’t find them on the high street. As a great alternative to the supermarket bags for life these bags show your City side whilst out shopping. With Silva, Aguero and Joe Hart included.
