Leaked: The new Man City Away shirt 16-17?
New images appear on twitter of a new Manchester City away kit for 2016-17 season.
With the new football season only a few months away, a new Manchester City away kit has been leaked on twitter. Whether this is the Man City away shirt 16-17 remains to be seen but the clues suggest it could be genuine.

This image shows the new Manchester City away jersey according to @rashdankun on twitter
Just like all Nike 16-17 kits for national and domestic teams, this Man City away shirt 16-17 sees different coloured sleeves and shoulders. The Nike kit template also includes side lines of colour.
Other than that, this Manchester City 16-17 away kit includes the new Manchester City badge in a gold background and black image. This type of image was trademarked alongside the colour version when the new badge was registered before Christmas. In keeping with the Nike template I’d expect the shorts to be the same colour as the body of the kit, with some clashing coloured socks.
What do you think to this new Man City away shirt 16-17? Going off the comments on social media it looks like it could be a sales disaster!

Away kit history
Whilst at first glance this kit has no history (like the club – haha before anyone else says it), the shirt does seem to have elements of other previous Manchester City shirt designs.
The maroon shoulders could hark back to previous City shirts such as the 1956 Cup Final shirt or this 90’s Umbro kit
Whilst the black and gold writing has been used before in this kit in the 2013-14 season
Going back even further Black is seen as City’s (or rather St Marks) first ever kit.
