The Man City Monday roundup (09/11/2015)
So I thought I’d try something a little different and put together some news from the Blues. This will cover the 1st team, youth team and best of social media.
Catch up with all things Man City every Monday on ManCityGifts.com.
This week there’s news from the Villa game, goals from Brandon Barker and George Evans, an example of why City fans are so great and how to get to see the last of Gary James’ must see badge lectures.
1st Team: Man City 0 Villa 0
A largely frustrating game and a case of typical City after the lord mayors show!
With the Villa game only taking place on Sunday few of the Man City bloggers have posted their match reports. Sunday morning saw ReadButNeverRed’s post “Villa in crosshairs of Sky Blue Spanish Eyes” covering writer David Walker’s trip Sevilla and looks ahead to his trip to the equally glamorous Villa Park. There’s a stunning photo of Seville to start the post – I’m very jealous of all those who went!
ReadManCity’s player ratings have Otemendi as Man of the Match. I have to say I agree I think since the Derby he has been the stand out player. I was a little critical when I saw the team sheet for the Derby thinking Mangala should have played but am very happy to being proved wrong!
City’s youth players out on loan Brandon Barker and George Evans both scored for their teams at the weekend and both were stunning strikes (could have done with similar at Villa Park!) Best new blogger finalist in the Football Blogging Awards InEsteemedKompany got both of the goals on vine (see below)
Brandon Barker’s goal and he was also man of the match for Rotherham on his debut
George Evans goal for Walsall
Big news just in is that Patrick Vieira is leaving his role as head of the EDS to join New York City FC on a 3 year deal!
Well done to the Aston Branch of the City supporters club for this mark of respect on the coach to Villa Park on Remembrance Sunday. Football fans get a lot of stick for their behaviour and it’s things like these that should be publicised more.
